She once found a leather pouch full of sheet music that was obviously not native to Eorzea. It seems to have come from one of the 13 other stars, but which one is uncertain. Kitten has been learning the music over time, which she has dubbed "classic rock".
At First Glance
Kitten Kandy is short, standing just barely 5 folms (feet) tall. Her light, blonde hair is streaked with cherry-red strips. Her face is nearly childlike, as her eyes are slightly larger than normal. The facial stripes that her people are known to have are not present on her face, a rare but harmless trait.The pupils of her eyes are vertical slits, like a cat in bright daylight, and the irises are blue like the sky on a hazy, sunny day. Her piercing gaze is often misread by others to mean confusion or passionate staring, when in fact she is simply reading someone's body language. She is extraordinarily empathetic, and reading body language to her is as easy as breathing.Her thin, delicate build belies many years she spent toiling over sheet music or plucking at harp strings, or running and shooting a bow. She is not athletic, nor is she out of shape. She is simply very thin.She walks with a nimble stride that shows great dexterity and flexibility. No step is misplaced - ever. She doesn't walk, she glides.She speaks and sings within the range of a soprano (the highest vocal range). Her voice is so smooth and melodic that when she talks, she sings.
Personality
Kitten is not a fighter. She dislikes violence. She became a bard for the music, not the bow. However, she has become an expert in archery as most bards do.She is also a White Mage and does so for the healing. She will assist with a Stone spell or Holy explosion if needed, but only to protect herself or her allies. She would rather heal than harm.She is also a Paladin, a shield between her allies and their enemies. Again, the sword is only to draw attention. She plays the part of the protector.Ironically, she is shy when it comes to crowds. Her performing started out as a coping mechanism to overcome her fear of crowds at a younger age. Her love of music and dance overrides her fear to be the center of attention. It is her empathy, her want to make people smile that drives her to overcome her shyness.She often tries too hard to be funny, and it can sometimes get her in trouble. But her shyness can quite often curb that troublemaker side. It's a dance in her personality, a swelling of the tide between outgoing and introvert, dictated by her mood and the mood of others.When seen in public, Kitten will most often be the silent observer, the wallflower.
